A challenging moorland workshop where the birds are on the wing, these are the closest you will come to for a wild raptor experience, they are fast and present the greatest challenges to a photographer. The workshops are across rough terrain and you need to be physically fit and be able to trek for long distances across rough moorland and moderate hill walking.
There are plenty of opportunities to photograph the birds in natural souroundings giving to bird portraits in the environment. It can rain here in Scotland, that doesn’t deter us it can bring a new aspect to bird photography, you just need to be well prepared to face the weather challenges.
Facilities are limited when out on the moors but we arrange a warm venue for our break and training sessions.

We host a regular birds in flight group workshop, these are usually two hour workshops and the focus is on in flight photography, it is intended for more experienced photographers and is ideally suited to refinining your photographic skills.
Each workshop has a fully qualified photographer to train, guide and advise the students. Their knowledge is invaluable and they are there to help you gain skills and take the photographs you want.
